140 - THE INNER WORLD: THE PSYCHOLOGY AND SPIRITUALITY OF LIFE TRANSITIONS
Jack Shea / Jim Zullo
In the past, stability was considered the norm and transition the exception. Today transition is the norm and stability is the exception. In this atmosphere there has been extensive study and reflection on transition from social-psychological and spiritual points of view. We will examine some of the basic features of transitions and their accompanying dynamics of loss, grief, and renewal. We will also explore the invitations to spiritual development within transitions.

240 - NURTURING HOPE: RECLAIMING OUR STORY
Barbara Fiand, SND de Namur
What do we have to let go of in order to reclaim the power that is ours by virtue of our faith in Jesus Christ? We will explore this question and together face the idols that have kept us from walking into our story with the strength of our convictions. What is that story, and who is Jesus as our pathway and salvation? What, in fact, is salvation, and how can we understand it today in a time-relevant manner? What are the charter moments of our faith that empower us toward transformation? Our time together will be spent exploring these questions.
